This 2027 concept trailer reimagines I Am Legend 2 as a devastating, morally complex sci-fi epic set in a world that split itself in two, humans behind walled settlements in the countryside with solar panels and watchtowers and UV floodlights activating every sunset, Darkseekers owning the night and the cities in vast underground networks with hierarchy, territory, and something disturbingly close to culture. Will Smith returns as Robert Neville in his late fifties, grey-white hair, rough trimmed beard, the elder of the Bethel settlement who carries guilt like a second skin because he knows what the others refuse to hear, that the Darkseekers were never the enemy, the virus made them different not evil, and everything he did in that basement, every creature he captured, sedated, and injected, was torture performed by a man who called himself a scientist while committing horrors that would haunt any species with memory long enough to remember.

I personally created every storyboard and visual element in this “What If” concept trailer from scratch, building a sequel that asks the most dangerous question the franchise has ever faced, what happens when the monsters build a civilization and the humans decide to burn it down. Michael B. Jordan brings fierce, uncompromising intensity to Daniel Ellis, the commander of a fortified military settlement who was born two years after the outbreak and has never seen the old world, a man whose parents were killed in a night raid when he was nine and who grew up in barracks training for the day he could push the Darkseekers into extinction, who is building an army and stockpiling UV weapons and who wants Neville standing beside him to give the offensive legitimacy because the living legend’s name is the one thing that could unite every settlement behind a war. Neville refuses.
